The organisation of an L.D.F. unit as a reserve of the Air Corps presents insuperable difficulties. A long period of full-time service would be required initially and a more extensive period of annual refresher training thereafter than could be provided for in the new scheme. The training scheme for the L.D.F. under the proposed reorganisation of that body is based upon brief periods of local training, and a short annual course in camp, when ordered.
