asked the Minister for Finance if he will state what progress has been made towards the erection of the proposed permanent memorial on Leinster Lawn to the founders of the State, Arthur Griffith, Michael Collins and Kevin O'Higgins.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Erection of Memorial.
A design for a new memorial has been provisionally approved by the Government, but as indicated in the reply given to the Deputy on the 28th June, 1944, action has had to be deferred owing to the emergency.
Can the Minister give any indication as to the approximate date when the memorial will be erected?
I cannot, but it will not be delayed any longer than is necessary.
