Vol. 98 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Precautionary Measures in Storms.

asked the Minister for Education if he will consider advising that a suitable course of instruction on precautions to be taken by the public during thunder and lightning storms be included as a lesson in national school reading books.

The Deputy's suggestion will be put before the Departmental Committee dealing with reading books for national schools, and the matter will be considered in connection with such recommendation as the committee may make.

Will the Minister say that without proper precautions against a lightning storm or even a display of pyrotechnics this House would be perfectly safe? Will proper precautions be taken against it?
