Vol. 99 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Position of County Dublin Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what is the intention of the Land Commission regarding the Coolemine estate, Saggart, County Dublin; and if it is a fact that this land has been set in conacre for 1946 and 1947; and, further, if he will state why the Land Commission are not taking steps to acquire this land for distribution amongst deserving local people.

The question appears to refer to the balance (84 acres) of the Kennedy estate at Coolemine, in the hands of the Land Commission. Proposals for the disposal of this area are being considered by the Land Commission, but it is not yet possible to state when the lands will be finally allotted. In the meantime, they have been let for conacre and grazing up to the 1st December, 1946.
