Vol. 99 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cahirciveen Water Supply.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that the present water supply in the town of Cahirciveen is inadequate; and if he will state whether it is intended to provide a water supply sufficient for the requirements of the town in the near future.

The existing supply was installed over 30 years ago and I understand complaints have been made in regard to shortage of supply during the summer. The county council has submitted preliminary proposals for a new scheme which are at present being examined by my Department.
