Vol. 99 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerosene Allowance.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state whether, in view of the present supply position, or the hope of the arrival of future supplies of kerosene, he will make an increased monthly allowance available to persons in rural areas who have no other form of lighting.

The supplies of kerosene are at present so limited that it is not possible to increase the monthly domestic ration.

Is there any hope for the future?

There is always hope.

Could the Minister say is that due to dollars or shipping?

That is a separate question.

But the Minister might have the civility to answer.

The Deputy might give notice of it.

The Minister knows darn well. He knows the answer.

Could the Minister say if there is a delay in the issue of the kerosene ration this month?

Not that I am aware of.

There is in some places.
