Vol. 99 No. 20

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Resumption of County Galway Holding.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what progress has been made by the Land Commission towards the resumption of the holding at Carralea, Lavally (Captain Quentin Dick Estate), County Galway, at present owned by Mr. Patrick Flannery, of Milltown.

Proceedings, which were held up during the emergency, are being continued for the resumption of the holding of Patrick Flannery in the townland of Carralea on the estate of Quentin Dick, Record No. S.3260, County Galway.

Would I be correct in saying that it is over ten years since this land was offered to the Land Commission? Why then does the Minister talk about proceedings?

The Deputy is not quite right in his assumption. Proceedings are proceedings.

It is ten years since the land was offered to the Land Commission.

I do not think that is quite right.

I ask the Minister to look into it.

What is the use? Proceedings are going ahead.
