The Government's proposals in regard to the pig and bacon industry will be presented to the Dáil in the form of a White Paper at an early date. In the meantime, I may say that the proposals at present under consideration are not based on the principle of nationalisation.
Could the Minister be somewhat more precise in regard to "an early date"? Will he say whether it will be within the course of a month or before we adjourn for the summer?
I should not like to say that it would be within a month but it will be soon afterwards.
But certainly before the summer adjournment?
