asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state, in respect of each of the years 1939 to 1945, inclusive, details of the proceedings taken and agreements registered under the Workmen's Compensation Acts, classified according to the nature of the employment of the applicant, the nature of injury, and average amount of compensation awarded or otherwise fixed; and, further, whether he will furnish, in respect of each of these years, information similar to that set out in table 116 in the Statistical Abstract for 1940.

The particulars which the Deputy requires are not available, since statistical inquiries into workmen's compensation were suspended during the period of the emergency. The inquiry has, however, been resumed in respect of the year 1945, the statistical results of which will be published in due course.
