Vol. 101 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Water Scheme for County Dublin Cottages.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he has received proposals from the County Commissioner, Dublin County Council, for the provision of a water scheme for the villages of Newcastle, Rathcoole and Saggart, County Dublin; and, if so, if it is his intention to sanction the scheme.

A preliminary report on a proposed water supply for the village of Newcastle has been furnished and is being considered. No proposals have been submitted for water supplies at Saggart and Rathcoole, but I understand that the local authority are considering the provision of a water supply and sewerage scheme for the areas and that preliminary surveys are being made.
