Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Directors of Central Bank.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the names of the persons appointed by him to be directors of the Central Bank; the date of each such appointment; and the salary or fees payable in respect of such appointment in each case.

The names of the persons appointed by the Minister for Finance to be directors of the Central Bank are:—Gabriel Brock, David D. Coyle, Lord Glenavy, James J. McElligott, William O'Brien, John F. Punch, Timothy A. Smiddy, Malachi Sweetman. Each director was appointed originally on the 1st February, 1943. Mr. Coyle was reappointed on the 1st February, 1944. Mr. Brock on the 1st February, 1945, Professor Smiddy on the 30th April, 1945, and Mr. O'Brien on the 1st February, 1946. Each director is remunerated at the rate of £500 per annum.
