There is a connection from Banteer for Kanturk and Newmarket off the 4.0 p.m. Mallow to Tralee train. This caters for passengers from Dublin and Cork. The additional service sought would necessitate the use of an extra engine which Córas Iompair Éireann are not in a position to provide at present.
