Vol. 103 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bobbett Estate (Kildare).

asked the Minister for Lands if he is yet in a position to state when the Land Commission propose to allot the remainder of the Bobbett Estate at Kilbelan, Newbridge, County Kildare.

The Land Commission are not yet in a position to state when the remaining holding on the Bobbett Estate will be allotted. There has been no avoidable delay in dealing with the matter.

Does the Minister realise that he has been giving that reply for five years? Now he says that there is no avoidable delay. Will the Minister say why the remaining holding has not been allotted? I could give the Minister a copy of that reply five years ago.

It may be that a Minister gave a similar reply five years ago. I doubt if the Deputy is quite correct in his statement.

Will the Minister make some personal inquiries in this matter as to why the remaining holding has not been allotted for about five years?

The Minister is always glad to make any inquiries.
