Vol. 104 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Lime.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state, with reference to agricultural lime for the year 1946: (a) the aggregate amount subsidised by his Department; (b) the total amount of subsidy paid; (c) the rate of subsidy for each county; (d) the amount of lime used in each county; and (c) the average price paid in each county.

The latest scheme year for which the particulars asked for by the Deputy are available is 1945-46.

As the reply is in the form of tabular statements I propose, with your permission, a Chinn Chomhairle, to have it circulated in the Official Report. The information given in the reply to be circulated is based on the assumption that parts (d) and (e) of the Deputy's query refer to lime supplied under the lime subsidy schemes only and not to the use of lime generally in each county.

The following are the particulars asked for:—
