Definitive figures of the total population of constituencies as returned at the Census of Population, 1946, are not yet available and in the ordinary course will be published in Volume I of the Census Report. Volume 1 of the 1936 Census Report was published in May, 1938.
The Preliminary Report of the Census recently issued contains preliminary figures for counties and, accordingly, preliminary figures for these constituencies which consist of one or more complete counties may be ascertained by reference to that publication.
