The average price of the seed oats recently purchased in Scotland is approximately £24 per ton. It is proposed to charge merchants £27 15s. 0d. per ton, carriage paid to the railway station nearest to their premises, and to fix the maximum price to the growers at the rate of 29/3 per cwt.
