The area sown with wheat up to date is estimated to be in the region of 350,000 acres.
I anticipate that sowings of wheat will continue at least until the end of this month but it is not possible at this stage, having regard to the exceptional nature of the season, to forecast the extent of the area which will eventually be sown.
