I am not yet in a position to indicate when the proposed legislation to amend the Landlord and Tenant Acts, 1931 and 1943, will be introduced.
I take it the Minister has not overlooked the fact that he stated in October, 1946, that this matter was under active consideration? While I do not know what that connotes in the Department of Justice, might I suggest to the Minister that he indicated in July last that he hoped to have the Bill introduced this year? Are the Minister's hopes in that area still?
