As already announced, the additional duties imposed by the Supplementary Budget on beer and tobacco are to be removed as from 5th March and on admission to entertainments as from 15th April. The repeal of these duties will, of course, involve loss of revenue, but it is expected that such loss will be made good by economy and retrenchment in Government Services.
