Vol. 111 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary County Council Workers.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware that in order to punish a steam-roller driver named Mr. Thomas O'Dwyer, Tipperary Town, the county council officials have transferred this man with his roller to Clonmel, a distance of 23 miles, while two drivers have been brought from Clonmel to Tipperary Town; that in order to effect these transfers rollers have been moved long distances from one part of the county to another, thus causing great unnecessary expenditure of public moneys; and, if so, whether he will arrange to have this matter inquired into as soon as possible.

I am having the matter investigated and will convey the result to the Deputy in due course.
