I am still examining the Military Service Pensions Acts with particular reference to Section 5 of the Military Service Pensions (Amendment) Act, 1945. I do not propose, however, to extend the time limit for making application for service pensions.
I would ask the Minister if he is prepared to introduce legislation to extend the date for which applications may be made for service medals?
The question of extending the date for applications for medal allowances under the medals scheme is, as I stated in a recent debate, under consideration at the moment.
