Vol. 111 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Forestry Workers' Wages.

asked the Minister for Lands if he has now considered the representations recently made by the Federation of Rural Workers relating to the wages and working conditions of forestry labourers; and, if so, whether he proposes to increase the wages of such workers to a figure substantially in excess of the amount of the increase granted by the Agricultural Wages Board early in the present year.

This matter is still under consideration.

Will the Minister state if there is a possibility of an early decision on this matter, which has been awaiting a decision for several months now?

I think the Deputy can expect a decision in the very near future.

Will the Minister state if this is going to be retrospective?

That is a separate question.
