Under the special farm drainage scheme, 196 applications have been received from County Mayo and 282 from County Galway.
In 14 cases in County Mayo and in ten cases in County Galway work has been commenced.
Twenty-eight people got employment out of the numbers that were thrown out of employment on turf production. That is the scheme.
