Vol. 112 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Roscommon Estates.

asked the Minister for Lands whether, in view of the fact that the Kyle estate has been in the hands of the Land Commission for a number of years, he will take steps to have this land divided as soon as possible to relieve congestion in the area.

All the Kyle estate has been rearranged except the townland of Derrylahan. The lands in hands in the townland are intended to be used to facilitate rearrangement, but the preparation of a rearrangement scheme has been held up awaiting the completion of proceedings for resumption of a non-residential holding in the townland. These proceedings are now almost completed and the question of rearrangement will be taken in hands with the least possible delay.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he proposes to divide the portion of the Connolly estate (22 acres) in the townland of Tonlegee, Roscommon, which is still in the hands of the Land Commission.

A decision in regard to the allotment of the lands referred to will be reached by the Land Commission with the least possible delay.
