asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware of the great dissatisfaction in the residential area of Marino because the children residing in that area are deprived of the use of public parks and playgrounds in the area; and, if so, whether he will take steps to have these playgrounds and parks made available for the residents and their families at the earliest possible date.

I am not aware that children are deprived of the use of public parks and playgrounds in the Marino area. If, however, the Deputy will furnish me with more detailed particulars I shall make inquiries to the Dublin Corporation, which is the responsible authority for municipal parks and playgrounds in Dublin.
