Vol. 112 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tourist Board Land in County Louth.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he is aware that seed producers acquired conacre by auction in December, 1947, of 20 acres from the Irish Tourist Board at Termonfeckin, County Louth; that part of the letting agreement required that the land be manured; that this land still remains idle and unmanured; and, if in view of this unfairness to previous and future users of the land, he will state what steps he proposes to take in the matter.

The provisions of the Compulsory Tillage Order, 1947, have been fully complied with on the holding occupied by the Irish Tourist Board at Termonfeckin, County Louth. My functions do not extend to the arrangements which may have been made between the Irish Tourist Board and Seed Producers, Limited.
