asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that the price of heavy footwear has increased from 45/- to 54/- within the last month; and, if so, whether he will state the cause of this increase; further, in view of the fact that the price of these goods now causes great hardship on agricultural workers and the poor, who use this class of footwear, he will have the matter investigated with a view to reducing this price.
