Vol. 112 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Modern Railway Coaches.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he has represented to Córas Iompair Éireann the desirability of providing more modern, or at least more comfortable, coaches for the carriage of passengers between Westland Row Station and Carlisle Pier; and, if so. with what result.

Practically all the passenger coaches taken over by Córas Iompair Éireann from the Great Southern Railways Company were old and in poor condition. The company are taking steps to replace these with more modern rolling stock, but this will take some time to accomplish.
