Vol. 112 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands whether it is intended to acquire for division the Kennedy estate of 370 acres at Castleblake, Rosegreen, County Tipperary, with a view to the relief of congestion in that area; and, further, whether he is aware that acquisition proceedings were instituted on a previous occasion in this case.

The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of the Kennedy estate (known locally as the Henry Quinn estate) at Castleblake, Rosegreen, County Tipperary. Proceedings were instituted for the acquisition of the lands of Castleblake, containing 337a. 1r. 9p.; Poor Law Valuation, £244 6s. 0d. (lands); £4 14s. 0d. (buildings); on the estate of Alfred Quinn, Record Number S.8178, County Tipperary. A provisional list and certificate were published in 1937 and an objection thereto was lodged. This objection was heard and allowed in 1940.
