asked the Minister for Justice whether he will introduce proposals for legislation to amend the Road Traffic Act, 1933, so as to permit the imposition and collection of appropriate fines by authorised members of the Garda Síochána for minor breaches of the Act in order to avoid the loss of time and expense of court proceedings.
