Some time ago I recommended to the Minister for Finance that a State contribution might be offered upon certain conditions towards the cost of dredging and structural repairs contemplated at Greencastle Harbour, and have just been notified that my recommendation in the matter has been accepted. I am now directing my Department to discuss the arrangements in detail with the Donegal County Council. It is not, however, feasible for me to indicate at this stage when work at Greencastle is likely to commence.
