A public telephone call office will be installed at Scotshouse Post Office as part of the Department's scheme to provide a public telephone at every post office which has not this facility.
Owing to heavy arrears of other construction work—particularly the provision of telephone service for waiting applicants—it has been necessary to suspend work on the call office programme for the present, and it will, therefore, be some time before a public telephone can be installed at Scotshouse Post Office.
