Vol. 114 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Leinster Lawn.

asked the Minister for Finance if, in view of the inconvenience caused and the aesthetic amenities denied to the citizens of Dublin, he would consider opening the passage way from Leinster Lawn to Kildare Street.

The question of reopening the former passage through Leinster Lawn from Merrion Square to Kildare Street has been considered by the Government in connection with the erection of the new Griffith-CollinsO'Higgins Memorial and the carrying out of incidental works at Leinster Lawn and they have decided that the reopening of the passage would not be desirable. The matter may, however, be reconsidered by the Government at a later date if circumstances so warrant.
