asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state (i) the number of applications for grants for the erection of poultry houses received by his Department from applicants in County Limerick since the inception of this scheme; (ii) the number of such applications sanctioned by his Department; (iii) the number of grants paid to date.

As regards poultry houses for adult stock, the particulars requested are: (i) 786; (ii) 487 and (iii) 74. In addition, under a scheme financed by my Department, Limerick County Committee of Agriculture have approved 134 applications for grants for chicken houses, and have, so far, paid 11 grants in respect of these.
