Departmental examination of the proposed social security scheme is now complete and the draft White Paper is being submitted to the Government within the next week. When the Government's decision is taken, the paper will be printed and published.
With regard to the second part of the Deputy's question, I can only say that no avoidable delay will be permitted to occur in the preparation of the necessary legislation, but the task involved will necessarily be a heavy one.
