asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he is aware that much disappointment is felt by the Loughshinny fishermen at the delay in improving Loughshinny Harbour; and, if so, whether he will arrange to have the improvement scheme put into operation at the earliest possible date.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Loughshinny Harbour.
Examination of the modified scheme of improvements for Loughshinny Harbour referred to in my reply to the Deputy on 12th July, 1949, has been completed in my Department. I have satisfied myself that a contribution by the State towards the outlay involved would be justified in the fishery interests. I have recommended accordingly, and hope that provision will be made in the Estimate for 1950-51 for this purpose.
