Apart from general inquiries received regarding the loan facilities available, I am informed that there were seven applications from hotel owners for loans submitted formally to the Irish Tourist Board. Two of these were either abandoned or withdrawn and the remaining five did not satisfy the conditions required by the authorised scheme. No loan was granted by the board to hotel owners and the final part of the Deputy's question does not, accordingly, arise.
