Vol. 118 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Main Road Flooding (Tipperary).

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether a scheme was submitted to his Department under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949, to relieve flooding of the main road at Reabeg, Newport, Tipperary; and, if so, when he proposes to sanction this scheme.

A scheme estimated to cost £800 has been approved for execution by Tipperary (N.R.) County Council under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949, which, it is understood, will relieve flooding of the main road near Reabeg, Newport, County Tipperary.

A further scheme dealing with flooding at this place and estimated to cost £170 was submitted recently and is being examined.
