asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that the sea embankments at Gurrane, Douglas, and Cromane have now reached such a bad condition that immediate repair is necessary if serious damage is to be avoided; and, if so, whether he will consult with the other Departments concerned to ensure the carrying out of this work at the earliest possible date.

Although the Land Commission have no liability for the repair of the embankments in question, they are repairing the embankment at Douglas. Proposals for the repair of the embankments at Gurrane and Cromane are under consideration and it is anticipated that a decision will be given at an early date.
