asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will consider abolishing the Pigs and Bacon Commission, and devoting the thousands of pounds expended on it to a better purpose.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to Deputy P. Smith on the 30th November regarding the Pigs and Bacon Commission. I have nothing to add to that reply.

Having regard to the fact that the principal function of the Pigs and Bacon Commission seems to be to collect a levy, which amounts to thousands of pounds in the year, to help the bacon curers to rob the producer and consumer——

The Deputy is advancing an argument. He is not asking a question.

I am asking a question. Their function also seems to be to give wrong information to the Parliamentary Secretary for conveyance to this House.

That is not a question. That is obviously a charge.
