asked the Minister for Education whether, in reference to the proposal to establish a council of education, he will state to what extent, if any, the recommendations of the Commission on Vocational Organisation, as set out in paragraph 540 of their report, in regard to its establishment have been taken into consideration, particularly those recommendations concerning the representatives which should constitute such council and the manner of their selection or appointment.

In my examination of the position with regard to the setting up of a council of education I have given, and am still giving, the most careful consideration to the general references to such a council contained in the Report on Vocational Organisations and the particular recommendations referred to by the Deputy.
