asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the number of road workers employed by Tipperary County Council (South Riding) who have qualified for pensions under the Local Government (Superannuation) Act, 1948.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Road Workers' Pensions.
I am informed by the Tipperary (South Riding) County Council that the names of 113 road-workers have so far been entered on the register of established servants maintained under the Local Government (Superannuation) Act, 1948. These workers, together with such others as may become eligible for inclusion on the register, will, subject to compliance with the provisions of the Act, be qualified for pensions when they come to retire.
