Vol. 119 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Radio Station.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if and when he proposes to set up a proper radio station in Cork in view of the fact that the premises now being used as broadcasting studios are very defective and unsuitable.

I am aware that the broadcasting studios at Cork are unsuitable and have been so for a long time. I am endeavouring to have more suitable accommodation provided, but at the moment I am unable to say when it will be practicable to do so.

Will the Minister see that the boycott of Cork artistes is removed as soon as possible?

I am not aware that there is any boycott of Cork artistes, any more than there is any boycott of Cork Deputies.
