asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the amounts paid in old age pensions and blind pensions in West Cork for the years 1945 to 1950 (to date).

The information the Deputy seeks is not available in the precise form asked for; but it is hoped that the particulars which I am about to give will satisfy his requirements.

Based on the numbers and rates of old age and blind pensions in payment in the portions of County Cork comprised in the social welfare officers' stations, Bantry, Dunmanway, Glengarriff, Macroom, Bandon, Clonakilty and Skibbereen, on the last Friday of December in each year, the yearly amounts payable were:—
