Motor taxation in common with other taxation will fall to be reviewed in connection with the forthcoming Budget, and due consideration will be given to the Deputy's suggestion. If, as a result, any departure from the existing basis of motor taxation is found to be desirable, the necessary provision will be made in the Finance Bill.
