asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that for some months past there have been very great delays on the part of the Land Commission in issuing to solicitors certified copies of Land Commission purchase agreements; that nearly three months expire between the time fees are paid to the Land Commission and the date of issue of the copy purchase agreement; and that these delays are causing great inconvenience to solicitors and their clients; and, if so, whether he will give the reason for those delays and state what steps he proposes to take to reduce them.

Owing to the big increase in the number of requisitions, the issue of copies of purchase agreements has not been as speedy as I would wish. Steps have already been taken to rectify the position and to eliminate delays in future.
