Vol. 120 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Investment of Government Funds.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state, in respect of all statutory funds under Government control (a) the total assets; (b) the amount invested in British Government stocks; (c) the amount invested in Irish Government stocks; (d) the amount, if any, invested otherwise; and (e) the amount "ready for investment" according to his statement in Dáil Éireann on March 21st (Volume 119, No. 14, column 2074).

As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to have it included in the Official Report.

Following is the statement:—

Particulars of assets (at nominal value) of funds under Government control.

(a) Total assets—£82,019,912, at 31/3/49 (latest available date).
