Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Maintenance of County Roads.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state (a) the total amounts allocated by county councils for the improvement, restoration and maintenance of county roads in 1938-39, 1948-49, 1949-50; (b) the amount contributed from the Special Employment Schemes Vote for county road works for the same periods; (c) the grants from the Road Fund for the two latter periods; (d) the total of (a), (b) and (c); and (e) each total as given at (a), (b), (c) and (d) expressed per mile of county roads for the same period.

The reply is in the form of a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, will be circulated with the Official Reports.
