asked the Minister for Lands whether he has made inquiries into the division of the lands of Mrs. Smyth, Thomastown estate, Bally-brittan, Edenderry, Offaly, and other lands on the Elliott estate at Bally-brian and Balyheashil, Fahy, Rhode, Offaly (M.L. 1752/46); and, if so, whether he will indicate what report he has received from the Land Commission since 7th June, 1946.

With the exception of one holding on the Elliott estate the Land Commission have no proceedings in respect of the lands in question.

What is the one holding, could the Minister say, in which they have proceedings?

I am sorry I have not the information.

Why does not the Minister bring that information to the House?

Most of this is excepted matter under the Land Acts.

asked the Minister for Lands when the Land Commission propose to divide the Castlebernard estate, owned by Lord Deasey, at Kinnitty, Birr, Offaly, amongst the local applicants; and, further, what action has been taken by the Land Commission in the matter.

The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of these lands.
