The prisoner was conveyed in car No. ZD6966 attached to the Garda divisional headquarters at Portlaoise. The conveyance was arranged under my authority.
Does the Minister suggest that the Vote provided for the conveyance of this prisoner from Portlaoise to his destination? I trust that the Public Accounts Committee and the Comptroller and Auditor-General will take notice of it.
